Doctor Appointments

Reed had his one month check up a couple of weeks ago. Zachary went with us and was a BIG helper. He weighs a little over 10 pounds and the doctor said he is doing great. He is still in the 25th percentile for weight and 50th percentile for height...A big difference from Zachary who stayed in the 90th percentile for both.



Unfortunately the doctor sent us to a specialist for Reed's eye. He has ptosis in his right eye. Basically the muscles in his eye are very weak and his eye will not open all the way. The good news is that it is a moderate case of it and is not completely covering his pupil. It does not affect his vision at this time, but at some point he will need surgery to correct. The doctor said most people have the surgery when kids at school start to notice it. I told the doctor we will take care of it before then...kids have enough to worry about at school without adding another problem to it.

We are still looking for that deal of a lifetime on a house in Florida. But we go this week to Atlanta to meet the movers to pack up our house and have everything sent to storage. We would love to be in a new house by Christmas, but are just thankful to be without a mortgage and rent payment at the moment. Zachary is still adjusting very well, but he is ready for his own space as well. We are still looking at houses near Jacksonville Beach so we hope to have lots of visitors next summer!!
